Who We Are

The Bradley Center provides peer-group, interfaith grief support for children and families, offering a safe and supportive place for hope and healing. Vision Statement: Transforming tragedy into triumph through interfaith acceptance and outreach.

Why?

Grieving children who don’t receive help dealing with their loss are at higher risk for developing depression, anxiety, and other serious issues. Unresolved grief can permanently alter the course of their lives in negative ways.

Who?

One in 7 children in the U.S. will experience the death of a parent or sibling before age 20. In the Salt Lake/Utah county area, 69,723 children will experience such a loss.

What?

The Bradley Center offers peer-based grief support, age-based group discussions, and educational outreach. Providing a safe space to discuss individual belief systems and their role in the grieving process.

How?

Staff and trained volunteers oversee age-based peer groups. Families attend together for shared activities and discussions. A small fee-for-service is charged, with scholarships available for financial assistance. Donations support the center.

Background

The Bradley Center honors the memory of those lost in the 1996 Coca Cola corporate plane crash. Founded by Carrie Moore and Janice Taylor, who lost their husbands in the crash, to provide hope and healing for others.
