Gerri Hixenbaugh, board member Secretary
Gerri Hixenbaugh, M.S. in education from Utah State University. Retired educator. Past-president of the Utah Council of the International Literacy Association. Volunteered at the Bradley Center working with the “Littles.”

Simone Black, board member
Simone Soffe Black is the Community Outreach Director for Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Homes. She earned a bachelor’s degree from BYU in public relations. She is president of the Utah Aging Alliance and volunteers with Utah Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, Community Nursing Services, Rocky Mountain Hospice and Intermountain Medical Center.

Hospice and home care employee for 10 years, and funeral services provider for 2 years. Bradley Center teen grief support group facilitator.

Greg Kemp, board member
MA Counseling, St. Mary’s University of San Antonio; BS Communication, University of Utah; former Bradley Center teen group facilitator; currently works in product management for a national healthcare company.

Valerie Lambert, board member
Master of Social Work, University of Utah; Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified in Thanatology (death studies). In Private practice with emphasis on bereavement counseling since 2001. Adjunct professor at University of Utah; Nursing/Gerontology Department.

Kelly Purser, board member
Certified Public Accountant. Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants (UACPA). Partner, HJ & Associates, L.L.C. Has been involved with the Uptown Down’s organization.

Elizabeth Squires, board member
Attended Bible College in Texas and Oklahoma. Has worked in the senior care industry for 10 years and has served as a Home Care Administrator. She currently is the Director of Community Outreach at Larkin Mortuary.

Jim Stewart, board member
Master’s degree in educational psychology. School psychologist for 40 years in the Jordan School District, working with high school students for the last 20 years. Worked with many grief groups over the years including The Bradley Center.

Shantel McBride, marketing advisor
